Healthy On You was founded by Samantha Binkley, a lover of wellness, traveling, gardening, cooking, and a Certified Health Coach based in the San Diego area, where she also teaches healthy cooking classes. Sam started creating organic spice blends when she first started teaching: “I would give samples to clients and they kept coming back for more. I decided it was time to develop and share my spices beyond the classroom. And that’s how I entered the sensuous and flavorful business of spices.”


And what spices they are! Each cleverly-named organic blend has a musical lilt: “Bohemian Rosemary” is a rosemary lemon salt; “Here Comes the Yum”, a turmeric-ginger spice blend the color of sunshine; and “No Woman, No Spice” is a Jamaican jerk spice. “Much of my inspiration comes from cooking the foods I love and finding blends of spices that  will dramatically improve the flavors and tastes,” says Sam. “It takes many, many tries to get the right mix but when I do it's like magic!” Approaching the salts is more complicated because of the interplay of subtle flavors: “Striking the right balance is very important. Organic ingredients make a huge difference in my process and make these salt blends come alive. There are so many uses, from seasoning vegetables and meats to using as rimming salts for cocktails. Just think, a lavender and prosecco spritzer with rimmed with lavender rimming salt - divine!”

 Turmeric Ginger Roasted Cauliflower

Ingredients:
1 head organic cauliflower (about 2 lbs.)
2 tbsp olive oil or coconut oil
1 1/2 tbsp Healthy On You® Here Comes The Yum Spice Blend
1 small lemon, zested & juiced
Sea Salt and pepper to taste 

Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 425F. In a large bowl, combine the cauliflower, oil, Here Comes The Yum spice blend lemon juice and zest.
- Toss with your hands or a wooden spoon so that everything gets evenly combined. Dump onto a cookie sheet prepped with parchment paper and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 30 minutes, flipping cauliflower over at the 15 minute mark. When everything is golden brown and crispy, remove from oven.
- Serve with additional lemon quarters for that added lemony bite.
