CicLAvia 2019

Co+opportunity Culver City Goes All-in for CicLAvia’s First Los Angeles Ride of 2019

A rainy start gave way to clear skies and streets crowded with people of all ages on bikes, scooters, rollerblades, unicycles, skateboards, and electric versions of just about all for CicLAvia’s Culver City Meets Mar Vista + Palms open streets festival earlier this month. With the 6.5 mile car-free route passing directly in front of the Culver City store, the co-op eagerly came on as event supporters - not only as a local business fueling the rides of the community, but also as event volunteers keeping cyclists safe throughout the day.

Stationed at the co-op’s adopted intersection of Washington and National, also the home of Co+opportunity Culver City, staff-volunteers and board members encouraged speed racers and tricycles alike to ride safely, and invited all to take a break with organic apple slices and healthy snacks. A turkey and Beyond Burger bar pop-up and tunes from acclaimed DJ Francesca Harding kept the festive vibe going throughout the day.

The co-op offers special thanks to our CicLAvia featured vendors and participants:

Organic apples provided by Heath & Lejeune

Snacks provided by SeaSnax, Beanfield’s, Vegan Rob’s and Zuma Valley

Product demos by Health-Ade, Alexandre Family Farm, Tierra Farm, Roji Tea, Unisoy Vegan Jerky
