Skid Row Housing Trust

Co+opportunity is pleased to have contributed to Woodbury University's outreach to Skid Row Housing Trust this week!

Deborah Richmond is a Woodbury Professor in Practice and Chair of the Board of Directors of Peace4Kids. She led a group of architecture students in conducting a fundraising activity assembling healthy eating kits for residents of Skid Row Housing Trust. SRHT has multiple housing projects around the city.  The students have been, in Deborah's words, "collecting, sorting and packing donations as part of a larger project about migrants, refugees and homelessness."

As Deborah suggested, our missions align: to educate and foster communtity around greater health. We are grateful to have been able to supply reusable co-op bags bearing this simple but powerful message- Stronger Together- as containers for the nutritious foods the Woodbury students distributed.
